Shipping Policy
Orders are generally processed & shipped within 1-3 business days after they are placed (weekends not included). Occasionally some orders require more time to process due to product availability or to high order volume. We will notify you by email if there is any delay in getting your order out beyond our 1-3 day policy. Please leave sufficient time for us to process you order along with the shipping method selected in your order.
If an order requires expedited processing or has a special requirement to arrive on or before a specific date, please indicate the date or the requirement in the comments section of your order or call us at (760) 224-0300 to request special order handling.
Shipping Rates
For shipping rates...Please create a user account or log in and add items to your shopping list. The shipping options and rates will be displayed automatically at the bottom of your shopping list.
Oversize or Overweight Shipments
If an order includes items that increase the Shipping Rates due to oversized or overweight conditions, customers will be notified of the shipping increases and the order will be held until the shipping increase is approved by the customer.
Domestic Shipping
Model rocket motors and igniters are shipped by US Parcel Post (2-10 working days) depending on your location. Shipments containing model rocket motors can also be split with motors and igniters shipping by Parcel Post with the balance going by Priority Mail (2-3 days), this must be stated in the comment section, at time of ordering.
International Shipping
All products except model rocket motors can be shipped internationally. Due to new USPS International postal re-classification, we now offer only Priority Mail International Service (6-10 days). Priority Mail International shipments with girth and length dimentions greater than 79 in are considered oversized and require additional shipping cost over and above the calculated amount shown at checkout. If additional shipping is required, we will quote the extra amount needed by email and hold the order for responce.
Oversized Shipments
Some items can create and oversized shipping condition. Additional postage may be required in order to ship an oversized package whether Domestically or Internationally. We will contact you if the shipment is considered oversized to either arrange an alternant shipping method or to request addional shpping funds to complete the shipment.
Shipping Insurance
Shipments become the responsibility of the purchaser after leaving the Discount Rocketry/ModelRockets.us warehouse. If shipping insurance has been purchased, we will replace or refund the parts of a damaged item(s), or lost shipment at our option. Replaced parts of, or whole shipments will be shipped in the same manner as the original shipment after proof of loss, and or after a investigation is completed by the shipping agent responsible for the original shipment. We can expedite replaced or damaged shipments that were insured with an additional charge for the difference of the original shipping cost and with a temporary charge for the new shipment which will be refunded after proof of loss, and or the investigation is complete. Shipping insurance is available at checkout for US orders only. International shipping insurance is available upon request.
Returns Policy
ModelRockets.us warranties products manufactured by ModelRocket.us only. Any other manufacturers products on this site are covered by the manufacturers own warranty. Replacements are allowed by RETURN AUTHORIZATION only. If the products are found defective, items will be replaced or refunded if no longer available. Products that are returned will be subject to a 20% restocking fee, returned shipping cost will not be credited, and original shipping fees are non refundable. Contact us for a Return Authorization number.
